Profile:
Ka-Wai graduated with distinction from the University of Calgary with a Bachelors of Applied Science in Engineering in 2000. He then went on to study at the University of Toronto - Institute of Aerospace Studies where he specialized in structural optimization and composite materials.
Ka-Wai earned a J.D. from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto in 2009 and articled at Ledgley Law. He joined the firm as an associate after being called to the bar in June, 2010. He became a registered trade-mark agent in 2011.
Ka-Wai’s practice interest includes patents prosecution, trade-marks prosecution, trade-marks opposition, industrial designs, and intellectual property contracts and agreements.
Ka-Wai is currently a member Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC) and serves on the Emerging Issues Committee. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA).
